Training
for Corporate communication
Companies, today more than ever, need to feel ownership
of truly effective communications programmes that deliver
return on investment. A key part of effective communications
is the human element of an organisation or company –
its employees. More often than not, senior management
employees are required to act as spokespeople for their
company or organisation communicating corporate messages
both internally (to employees) and externally (to stakeholders
and the media). Essentially, they become part of the
equation that makes up an effective communications strategy.
Business Press offers clients special “training
workshops” tailored for top and middle management
with the objective of enabling organizations to align
their business goals with “corporate messages”
that may need to be announced during corporate or client
presentations, business meetings, public speeches or
press events. At Business Press we like to think that
with training all people, not just appointed spokespeople,
can spread official messaging in a uniform and effective
way. Thanks to the dual competency in Corporate Communications
and behavioural training of our Management Training
consultants’, the workshops provided cover both
the “What I say” dimension of communications
and the “How I say it” aspect.
Business Press training offering is divided into three
main areas:
-
Media communication: workshops designed
to improve the communications skills of appointed
spokespeople when speaking to the media within different
contexts e.g. interviews, press conferences, crisis
situations.
- Effective presentations: workshops
designed to help speakers prepare for and manage a
public presentation (e.g. presentations on corporate
news, product launches, new partnerships etc.). Training
assists participants in identifying the right strategy
and contents to reach the target audience, as well
as different speech delivery techniques that look
at both what is said (oral presentation) and how it
is presented (powerpoint presentations).
- Empowerment: workshop aimed at
strengthening the communications skills of two specific
corporate targets – Top Managers and newly appointed
Marketing Communications Managers who do not yet have
significant experience in the field.
Business Press’ corporate communications training
offering is available as individual workshops that can
be done one at a time or all at once, and are personalised
according to clients’ specific requirements and
market context.
